A house for the unsayable.
A small publishing house for poetry that names what most rooms will not.
Faith & Prose began as one voice writing itself out of silence - and became a small publishing house for the same act, in others.
We publish poetry that names what most rooms will not: emotional abuse, spiritual grief, the long walk out. And the tender, unshowy work of coming home to yourself after.
Ten percent of every sale supports domestic-violence prevention. The rest keeps the lights on so we can keep the pages open.
“Every book we make is a hand held out.”
Jonathan Valania
Jonathan Valania is a poet and essayist whose work explores memory, wonder, language, faith, identity, and the relationships that shape a life. Blending lyrical poetry with reflective prose, he is interested in the places where contradiction refuses resolution and where ordinary moments become the foundation of meaning.
He is the author of Letters I'll Never Send, Trauma & God, and the companion collection Letters for Survivors.
With Ampersands, he expands his exploration of memory, wonder, language, and identity into a meditation on contradiction, relationship, and what it means to become fully human.
Under the name Northernly, he also writes and records music that extends the same questions into sound — songs about grief, hope, and the slow work of becoming whole. Listen to the latest releases on the music page.
Every book is trauma-informed. Every line is chosen with care. We publish slowly, on purpose.
10% of profits are donated to shelters and hotlines supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
