Part I · Illusion

Relate

August 8th, 2018 I wrote your name in my journal— too many times to count. You’ve been running through me. Which is strange. I never get attached. Maybe you changed me. I used to be just Jon— the fuck-up, the fallback. Bullied into self-deprecation. Religiously broken. Constantly depreciating. But something about you— your love, your stillness— made me want better. Maybe that’s why you chose me. Because I was broken, just like you.
